Greco Rocks at Bedford!
David Greco made a very successful Formula Palmer Audi debut yesterday at the Bedford Autodrome, home circuit of the FPA series.
With an eye on racing in the series at some point in 2009, Greco more than exceeded expectations in his first outing with the 300HP-machines. In his first on-track session, the Italian bettered the typical lap times achieved by drivers by the end of their first DAY in a Formula Palmer Audi car.
Formula Palmer Audi Championship Coordinator Chris Dredge had nothing but praise for Greco after the test. "David... completed the test faultlessly impressing us not just by his speed but also by his maturity and interaction with the team."
"His experience previously in Skip Barber and testing an F3 car obviously shaped him into a well-rounded driver and immediately we could see this even though he had not been in a car for a few seasons. With this experience, along with his natural talent, we believe he can be very successful in Formula Palmer Audi. We expect him to be well within the top 10 and potentially challenging for podiums and race wins. Throughout the championship season he will also gain experience of using the Audi turbo-charged engine and working with the team, which will give him a good advantage if he moves into Formula Two in 2010. We look forward to working with David throughout the coming season and wish him every success!" Dredge added.
The Formula Palmer Audi team were busy testing the remainder of the weekówith both the FPA and F2 carsóand plan to provide David with statistics from his outing at a later date.
